Joost van der Linden has worked as a soloist for many eminent conductors, such as Jurjen Hempel, Jane Glover, Jos van Veldhoven, Werner Herbers (Ebony Band Amsterdam), Jed Wentz (Musica Ad Rhenum), Erik van Nevel and Ton Koopman.

His solo engagements outside of his native Holland include Handel’s opera ‘Acis and Galatea’ (at the Gergynog Festival in Wales), ‘the Fairy Queen’ by Purcell (Aldeburgh Festival), Monteverdi’s 1610 Vespers (Berlin), Handel’s ‘Alceste’ (Festival de Tréguier et Semaines Musicales de Quimper) and ‘Bastien und Bastienne’ (Festival Opera d’Eté de Dijon). He has also appeared in solo roles in concerts in Holland’s Festival voor Oude Muziek and Germany’s Tage Alter Musik in Herne.
